The Coronavirus (COVID19) attacks those who are most vulnerable, including the older adults with underlying conditions and illnesses. At times, this virus is so aggressive taht when these individuals get the virus, the bdy does not have time to react and produce symptoms, and results in a quick death. This is what makes the virus frightening and threatening

I think it’s extremely important for people to be self-isolating right now if possible. The protests that are occurring at state capitals are outrageous and way too early to be safe for anybody. I think it’s the entire population’s responsibility to come together and stop the spread of the virus. It is a very contagious virus and dangerous to people of all ages, though undoubtedly moreso for the older population. Cough, shortness of breath, and headache are all common symptoms of the virus and if someone experiences these symptoms they should self-isolate if at all possible. If the symptoms get bad enough, they should go to the hospital.

Listen people! I know that we are all tired of being cooped up in our houses, BUT, this past weekend, all I have seen are pictures of large groups of people, in all sorts of different places, not social distancing, not wearing face masks, and just disregarding the CDC recommendations for safe living. Although you may think your actions are not hurting anyone….YOU ARE WRONG!!!! Your actions are directly affecting every person you come in to contact with. It is not just the old and weak that are getting this virus, but also babies, children, and healthy people too. So take my advice, listen to the Scientists, follow their directives, save lives, save yourself!

Coronavirus is quite dangerous both as a disease and as a factor impacting the economy/stock market. I think it is very important that we do everything we can, including more proactive measures to enforce social distancing, to prevent this from spreading further and hopefully reach a point where we can return to normalcy.

Corona Virus which is generally known as Covid-19 is a chronic viral infection which is associated with respiratory diseases like a chronic pneumonia. It originated from China precisely from Wuhan towards the end of 2019.

Corona Virus is a highly contagious disease which can be transmitted via contact with an infected person through body fluid especially from the facial openings like the nose and the mouth. It is believed to be airborne as recently declared by World Health Organization. It can be contacted by everybody of all age groups but older people of ages 50 years and above are more susceptible due to their lower immune system and the risk is lesser in children.

Most health workers are at a higher risk as they come across sick people everyday and could come in contact with people with respiratory symptoms. Some people are asymptomatic which implies they could be living with the Virus without showing symptoms which puts more people around them at the risk of contacting the virus. However, it is advised to undergo test when you come in contact with person having Corona Virus or someone having a serious respiratory symptoms.

Nevertheless, some people are recovering from the dreaded Corona Virus after some medical treatments despite the fact that the virus was known to defy all known medical treatments. People who have the virus are known to suffer serious pneumonia, severe coughs and difficulty in breathing which in severe cases could also lead to organ damage like lungs and other breathing tracts.

finally, Corona Virus has become a global pandemic which is of serious concern to the whole world. Only few countries have registered zero case. Most countries in the world has registered a great number of death of infected persons. So people are advised to limit movement to highly infected locations and practice social distancing and also other preventive measures such as constantly washing of hands and use of hand sanitizers.

The Coronavirus was created in a lab in Wuhan, at least that is what I believe. The government and World Health Organization are lying to us to keep us from discovering the real truth. The citizens are on our own and must band together in these dark times.

If you can work from home and limit going outside the house to buy essentials to once a week, that’s great. But for those that need to commute to work and work outside the house or else lose their jobs, we need to be understanding of their situation. Hopefully, their workplaces will social distance, wear masks and frequently disinfect surfaces to help prevent the virus and it spreading. We should be extra thankful and kind to all the workers on the front line, the doctors and nurses in the hospitals, and the grocery workers and mail people. They risk exposing themselves to the virus almost every day, but yet they continue to do their jobs so that we can feed our families and stay in touch with the world. We’re all in this together. Be nice, be kind, be understanding, be vigilant, be patient, and let’s work together to stop this virus so that one day we can live again.

I believe that the Coronavirus was not taken as serious as it should have from the beginning. I think that once people realized how serious it was, that is when everyone began to panic buy things and attempt to stockpile as much as they could. Even though stores did not close down, I think that people were afraid that they might close. It seems like a lot of people are just quarantining at home and it’s unlike anything I’ve experienced in my lifetime.

In my opinion, COVID-19 should be taken very seriously as it seems that it is spreading at an alarming rate. It seems like until they find a good vaccine for the disease, people should continue to take the necessary precautions or the spread will continue. Knowing this, we can stay hopeful for the doctors that are working on the cure. I think that this will all pass over in a few months.

  • Jude Harris says:

A pandemic is a global outbreak of disease. Pandemics happen when a new virus emerges to infect people and can spread between people sustainably. Because there is little to no pre-existing immunity against the new virus, it spreads worldwide.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is infecting people and spreading easily from person-to-person. Cases have been detected in most countries worldwide and community spread is being detected in a growing number of countries. On March 11, the COVID-19 outbreak was characterized as a pandemic by the WHO.
